Projects > Conservation
The project involves the conservation of a Victorian suburban house and the addition of a modern two-storey extension of 54m² as a counter point to the original house. The modern extension has an open plan kitchen/family room on the ground floor with easy access to the landscaped garden and play room at the bottom of the garden. There is also a small internal courtyard formed by the new extension and existing house. At first floor level of the new addition there is a master bedroom with a large window with a projecting oak surround, which serves to increase privacy and reduce solar glare.
